PLANTING SEEDS OF LOVE FOR CHRIST AND HIS POOR AMONG THE YOUNG PEOPLE OF SRI LANKA

On Sunday 3rd of May in Batticaloa, a group of students from grade 4 to 11 visited our home with a priest. They were dressed in ‘religious habit’. After making a tour round the house, we spent some moments together. We were encouraged by the priest to talk about our charism and mission. We were glad that some girls were interested to know us better by asking questions about our home. We interacted more with the 11th grade students and we pray that the planted seed may bear fruit.

On the 26 April, we visited  the parishes of Kochchikade and Pallansena in NEGOMBO (Colombo). During Mass, the celebrant announced our presence. Besides doing the collecting, we were given the opportunity to interact with 35 girls. Many of them do not know the Little Sisters of the Poor. We did our presentation, introducing our hospitaller mission to them. We invited them to visit us. Two girls approached us and were interested in visiting our home.
