Admission
In winter of 1839, Jeanne Jugan welcomed into her home which she was sharing with her two friends, the first elderly person, Anne Chauvin. Since then, thousands of elderly people have been welcomed by the Little Sisters of the Poor in different country, so that each one can find a roof, a meal, care, security and also a new family.
• Our home is built with a simple architecture that accommodates various arrangements to satisfy the Resident’s aspirations to have both a private space and an environment that ensures their safety.
• The rooms have a toilet and a shower. All are equipped with a calling system, TV and telephone line sockets. There are beds, table, chair, cupboard necessary for their use.
• Residents can bring furniture and personal items in order to recreate, in their room, a little of the universe that was familiar to them.
• On each floor, living rooms, bathrooms and etc. adapted to various disabilities are available to residents.
• The requirement for the admission are as follows:
– Age above 65
– For people with modest or no resources.
