Celebrating 70 Years of Religious Life Of Sr. Paula Marie de la Providence

An untiring Soul for God

On May 3rd in Aberdeen, a joyful celebration honored Sr. Paula Marie de la Providence as she marked an incredible 70 years of religious life. The Thanksgiving Mass was presided over by Cardinal Tong, who was also the main celebrant of her 60th Jubilee a decade ago. He was joined by three priests, including one who has known Sr. Paula for many years and delivered a heartfelt Homily. In his remarks, he praised her unwavering enthusiasm, her remarkable culinary skills, and her deep commitment to bringing joy to those around her.
Family, friends, and generous donors gathered to celebrate this milestone. Among them were her beloved nephews and nieces from Colombia, whose presence made the occasion even more meaningful. A dear friend, who has cherished Sr. Paula since childhood, generously sponsored a five-star buffet lunch, ensuring the festivities were as special as she deserved.
Following the Mass, guests enjoyed a touching short animation, commemorating her journey and service, before joining together for a celebratory meal. With gratitude, prayers were offered to Saint Joseph for his unceasing Divine Providence, recognizing the blessings and grace that have guided Sr. Paula through her decades of dedication.
Blessed by God, she continues to inspire all who know her.
