Farewell… Goodbye… Thank you.
Saying goodbye to a place that’s been home—and to the people who made it feel that way—is never easy. Here’s a heartfelt closing message from one of our Elderly residents from Aberdeen Home, which we would like to share… a letter written for the feast of Mother Provincial.

Farewell Message from the Little Sisters of the Poor – Aberdeen
The Little Sisters of the Poor in Aberdeen has been our cherished home for over 60 years—a place where countless memories were made, friendships nurtured, and lives touched. Throughout these decades in Wong Chuk Hang, the Little Sisters of the Poor have been blessed to serve the elderly with love, dignity, and compassion.
However, due to various circumstances, we have reached a painful yet prayerful decision: to entrust the management of our beloved home to Caritas Hong Kong. This transition marks the end of an era, and it is with a heavy heart that we bid farewell to all our dear friends, supporters, and companions who have journeyed with us through the years.
To each of you who has stood by us, offered your kindness, and shared in our mission—we say, with deep gratitude:
Farewell… Goodbye… Thank you.
May our Good Lord shower you and your loved ones with abundant blessings and graces. You will forever remain in our prayers and in the heart of Aberdeen.
With love and gratitude,
The Little Sisters of the Poor
