St. Jeanne Jugan’s Home for the Elderly has commenced construction of a new building to house 40 elderly residents. The ceremony was led by Father Lord Beltran, our parish priest from San Isidro, Magalang with attendance from the community Little Sisters, the elderly from the Philippines, friends and benefactors. Archbishop Florentino Galang Lavarias presided over a solemn Mass, A procession followed after Mass, culminating in the burial of a time capsule containing significant items. The Archbishop blessed the capsule, which was symbolically lowered into the ground by the Little Sisters, signifying unity and commitment to the project. The initiative aims to create a compassionate Home dedicated to the well-being and happiness of the elderly, inspired by the teachings of Sister Mary of the Cross.
