The Little Sisters of the Poor arrived in Kuala Lumpur on 3rd Dec 1965 at the invitation of Bishop Dominic Verdargon, Bishop of Kuala Lumpur. 

In January 1966, the Little Sisters started a Home in Klang road until 1971 when they moved to Weld Road.

It was not until November 1973 that the Little sister and the residents arrived in the newly built Home in Cheras. Over the years our Little family has grown, the years had taken a toll on our Home, Leaking roofs, the high cost of repair and maintenance prompted our Mother General on the need to rebuild a new home during her visit on 26th May 2000. In anticipation of the construction work, the residents were transferred to our Home in Penang. Demolition work started in April 2001 and the work was completed in March 2014. On 19th March 2004, the Home was reopened and Blessed by Archbishop Murphy Pakiam.
