St. Joseph's Home for the Aged
The first LSP Home in Hong Kong

First located in Kowloon Tong in 1923, the Sisters looked after about 80 poor elderly Residents in premises previously managed by the Canossian Sisters.

After scrimping and saving for a few years, the Sisters bought a large property with Chinese-style houses situated in Ngau Chi Wan (near Choi Hung MTR station).
Expansion of the Home began in phases until it could at one time accommodate up to 390 persons!

By the early 1990s, however, the costs of renovation and upgrading work for the buildings became too high for the Sisters to manage.
After 7 years, the construction of a new Home with updated facilities was completed, and the Residents and Sisters moved in, in November 2003.
