On July 30, 2024, our congregation was featured on “THE CALL,” a program broadcasted by the Archdiocese of San Fernando Ratio Station DWBL 91.9 Bright FM and streamed on YouTube. This was a fascinating event for us as it marked our first time being broadcast and televised. Sr. Teresita of the Trinity coordinated with the organizers and was joined by Mother Maria Emma from the Community of Pasay and Sr. Mary Cordelia from the Community of Bolinao.

Our gratitude goes to Sr. Veny Casala, Salesian, who served as our host. Her warmth and calm demeanor created an inviting atmosphere, making our first broadcasting experience smooth and enjoyable. During the program, we discussed our Congregation, the reasons behind our call to religious life, and why we specifically chose the Congregation of Little Sisters of the Poor. We shared our personal vocation stories. Although the hour-long broadcast felt too short for all we wished to share, we were grateful for the opportunity to represent our Congregation and highlight our mission to serve the elderly poor. As Sr. Veny aptly quoted Don Bosco, “Do your ordinary work, sisters, in an extraordinary way”, underscoring the essence of our dedication. We extended an invitation to viewers and listeners, encouraging those who feel called to religious life to take concrete steps towards their vocation. We also urged parents to support their children’s desires to enter religious life rather than discourage them. The message was clear: don’t just desire, but act with commitment.
