‘Step by step, God seemed to pave his way for us to make it whole for the coming inauguration of the Home. The Little sisters had an unexpected call from Antonia, the sister of Sr. Marie Cecilia de Jesus telling her that opposite her school, a house lived by a single-aged lady without relatives had caught fire and now she has nowhere to live. The Little Sisters went to see the lady and when they reached the place the surrounding neighbours eagerly greeting them thanking to take Lola Marina to their home. Lola Marina told us that some time ago, her neighboring friends had recommended her to a nursing home, but she did not like it, but now when she saw the kind faces of the sisters, she wanted immediately to come to our Home. Amazingly, all necessary papers affairs were done within 3 hours; getting a certification from the Barangay Office and informing the Social Welfare Department, etc. so unexpectedly, Ms. Purificacion L. HERNANDEZ (preferred to be called Marina) aged 83 came home with them and became the first resident of the Home
